Chisholm Park Golf Club

Simply one of the better and most overlooked links-style courses you will find in the country- complete with cliff-top views and wonderful opportunities to play the elements off of the sea

Dunedin has been called the “Edinburgh of the South”, and thus it is fitting that the city have at least one Scottish-style links course. Developed on reserve land during the 1930's depression years Chisholm Park is in fact the only true links course in Dunedin.

Many golfers consider it second only to Paraparmumu (north of Wellington), establishing the course as an institution within the golfing world.

Complete with ocean views and measuring 6300yds this track is short by today's standards. However it presents a true test and demands players strike the ball cleanly- few get the better of it on their initial round.

Play Info and Signature Holes

9th: Par-4, the "Lawyer's Head" hole is one of the most difficult, with a green rimmed by clifftops.

We have returned from our trip to New Zealand, which went very well. I want to thank you for your expert help in planning the trip according to our interests. We had a thoroughly enjoyable time and loved the beauty of the South Island.... many thank you's for your able assistance in tailoring the perfect trip for us.

It was a trip of a lifetime with truly unique beauty not found anywhere else. A New Zealand trip requires a specialist who knows the lay of the land the unique challenges of traveling and sight-seeing there.

The country looks a lot smaller than it really is, and travel times are longer than one can assume.

The route chosen by Cristina helped us maximize our time there. I’m usually a do it yourself traveler, but for this trip I’m sure glad I had Cristina at Best of New Zealand.
