Meet the team

Bringing you the best golf and travel in New Zealand

For 28+ years the Best of New Zealand team has traveled and organized bespoke itineraries for our clients. Originally focused throughout the late 1980s, and into the early 2000s, on fly fishing (bestofnzflyfishing.com) and independent travel (thebestofnewzealand.com) we expanded to include golf in conjunction with the first internationally renown courses being built in New Zealand.

Our direct relationships and personal experiences combine decades of experience.

Our small Los Angeles-based team is passionate about New Zealand. We discuss, plan and share experiences on a daily basis. Whether through communication with our partners in New Zealand, hosting meetings for Kiwis who fly into Los Angeles throughout the year, or taking our own trips.

We do not sell on dogma, but make every attempt to ensure accommodations are up to your standards while at the same time inspecting new properties, tours, activities and changes in ownership.

Frank Krieger leads Best of New Zealand Golf and is an avid golfer. He works with both club PGA professionals on group tours in addition to individual client trips. If you plan to visit New Zealand and play golf while in the country, please reach out!

Customer reviews

It was a trip of a lifetime with truly unique beauty not found anywhere else. A New Zealand trip requires a specialist who knows the lay of the land the unique challenges of traveling and sight-seeing there.

The country looks a lot smaller than it really is, and travel times are longer than one can assume.

The route chosen by Cristina helped us maximize our time there. I’m usually a do it yourself traveler, but for this trip I’m sure glad I had Cristina at Best of New Zealand.

Highlights Of The Trip: Getting off the plane in Queenstown – overwhelmed with the beauty. The boat ride in Queenstown to experience the expansiveness.

The drive from Queenstown to Franz Joseph - the mountains and glacier lakes that went on forever. Our lunch spot that day at a campsite on a lake. Abel Tasman: this is where I want to return and spend a week to hike the entire trail. Spent the day biking in Napier to wineries.
