Pegasus Golf & Sports Club

A brand new golf development to coincide with one of New Zealand's newest towns, this Kura Design was saved from the Christchurch earthquake and continues to be a point of pride for the area.

Pegasus Golf & Sports Club

Until Wainui (2016) was built the Pegasus Golf Club was the newest major golf project in New Zealand (2009). In fact Pegasus as a town was only first proposed in 1997, it being about 15 miles north of Christchurch.

Designed by Kristine Kerr (Christchurch GC) this track has lakes in play on over half of the holes and is surrounded by natural grasses and wetlands. Fairways are wide and strategically players will attack the pin through better placed angles off of the tee. The 2011 earthquake which hit the region did not affect Pegasus.

From all of us, thank you for a fabulous trip to New Zealand! We cannot begin to tell you how much we loved everything you put together for us! Every detail ran like clock work and each lodge was better than the last! A highlight was our daughter’s engagement at Cape Kidnappers where we were spoiled by the staff to a lovely wine cellar dinner! But add that to all the heli fishing and fine golf everywhere, we could not have had a more memorable, special trip! Many thanks for a great job on the part of you and your team.

Highlights Of The Trip: Getting off the plane in Queenstown – overwhelmed with the beauty. The boat ride in Queenstown to experience the expansiveness.

The drive from Queenstown to Franz Joseph - the mountains and glacier lakes that went on forever. Our lunch spot that day at a campsite on a lake. Abel Tasman: this is where I want to return and spend a week to hike the entire trail. Spent the day biking in Napier to wineries.
