Enjoy privately held one-on-one or group lessons in yoga, pilates, or personal training workouts. Instructors offer classes tailored for all levels from beginners to advanced. Your class can be held in the comfort of your accommodation or outside with stunning ocean views(if desired and weather permitting). The beach is only a five-minute walk from the Clubhouse and with the right tides, your lesson could be in the company of the rolling waves of the Pacific Ocean. Your lesson can conclude with a quick dip in the ocean, regardless of the season.
Price:
If you would rather borrow a mat and head to the beach for a leisurely stretch or self-led yoga session, mats are available from the concierge.

Acupuncture and/or Yin-Yang Therapy treatments can be arranged to take place in the comfort of your accommodation. Acupuncture involves the use of hair-thin needles to stimulate specific points on the body, which activates the body’s self-healing mechanisms to restore balance and improve overall health. Yin-Yang Therapy utilises touch and gentle pressure on specific areas of the body, such as the wrists, ankles, and feet, to harmonise the pulse and restore equilibrium. Through combining the two therapies, one can achieve further balance and holistic well-being.
Price:
Horseback riding for individuals or small groups can be arranged which are suitable for both beginners and experienced riders and include a walk, trot and canter. The treks are at least 90 minutes long and, depending on availability, will be located offsite either a 25-minute or 1-hour drive away from the property. *Activity Location 30 – 60minutes away from property*
Group Public Trek:
This option is open to other guests and members of the public to join.
Price: From NZD$150.00 per rider. Families of four riders can ride from NZD$480.00 per family.
Private Trek:
This option is a more intimate group but remains open to other guests and members of the public to join.
Price: From NZD$170.00 per rider (minimum of two riders required). Families of four riders can ride from NZD$640.00 per family.
Premium Trek:
This option will cater to the more advanced rider and will only include members of your group.
Price: From NZD$290.00 for one rider and NZD$205.00 per rider for a two-person trek.
The following cancellation policy and terms and conditions apply:
There will be no penalty for treks cancelled within 48 hours of scheduled departure. If a trek is cancelled within 24 hours of departure, a 50% charge will be levied. Cancellation within 24 hours of activity will incur a 50% charge. All treks cancelled within 24 hours will incur a 100% cancellation fee.
If your trek is prevented by inclement weather, there will be no charge levied if agreed by guests and trek organiser at least two hours before the scheduled departure time. The provider reserves the right to change the itinerary if circumstances are deemed unsuitable.
All tours are guided; please follow the guide’s instructions. A health and safety demonstration is given before all treks, and health and safety guidelines are followed to minimise the risk; all riders ride at their own risk.
A strict weight limit of 110kg will be adhered to. The treks will be ridden strictly to the lowest level on any particular trek to minimise the risk of harm. Please inform the provider of any physical impairment, so they can offer the best service.
All riders must wear helmets, regardless of religion, and close-toed shoes (ideally with a small heel) as they are a legal requirement. Please do not wear loud flapping clothing, ‘flip-flops’ or open-toed shoes.
Offers kayak, SUP and surf lessons which are all 2 hours long. For guests who are a little more experienced, they offer water equipment rentals. Tours, lessons and equipment hire pick-up all take place off-site, no more than a 30-minute drive off-site. Soft-racks and tie-downs are provided free of charge for the transportation of equipment. These are designed to carry up to 6 x surfboards, 4 x paddle boards or 2 x kayaks. If equipment transport is required, a minimum spend of NZD$300.00 is required and an NZD$120.00 transportation fee will be added to your final price. *Activity Location 30minutes away from property*

The below prices are for 4-hour equipment hire. Please enquire about pricing for 2 or 10 hour equipment hire:
No charge will be levied if any lesson or tour is cancelled within 5 days of reservation. For reservations to hire equipment, cancellation with 2 days notice will incur no charges. If there is less than notice period given, guests can reschedule to a new date and/or time for an NZD$30.00 rescheduling fee. However, if the reservation is not rescheduled before the start of the original reservation, the full charge will be levied and there will be no opportunity to reschedule.
Depending on what type of lesson you are after, the team can take you through perfecting your swing on the driving range, practicing your chips in our bunkers, or working on putting on The Playground, one of the largest putting greens in the southern hemisphere.
If you would like to have real-time advice on the golf course, the PGA Member Professionals also offer playing lessons. For enquiries and more information, please reach out to their reservations and concierge teams.

If you would like to see more of the property, they offer mountain bike rentals for avid explorers. Pack a picnic from Ric’s Restaurant and a trail map from concierge and return at your leisure.
A privately chartered, full-day adventure, with the option of including fishing in the experience. Explore either the Mokohinau Islands offshore or visit the Hen & Chick Islands a little closer to shore. A maximum of five guests is allowed. All top-of-the-line Shimano tackle will be supplied for the day but please note that lunch and beverages are not provided. It is recommended guests bring food and beverages, sunscreen, warm clothing, and a sun hat! *Departure location 30minutes away from property*
If your charter is cancelled more than 7 days in advance of departure; or if, after an agreement between both the guest and the supplier, your charter is cancelled or rescheduled due to adverse weather, there will be no cancellation fee levied. All other amendments or cancellations made within 7 days of departure without the agreement of the supplier will incur an NZD$250.00 cancellation fee.
Any equipment lost overboard or damaged will incur the cost of repair or replacement.

The Landing Wine Experience: Enjoy exploring The Landing’s boutique Winery and Vineyard. There are a range of options from wine tasting to a long lunch. You may also like to combine this with a short heritage boat tour of the vast Māori history in the area. Arrive at The Landing by private helicopter, explore significant historic sites and the vineyard, and enjoy a guided tasting of The Landing Wines and a tour of the Winery. Alongside a beautiful two-course lunch while overlooking spectacular views of this exclusive property.

Kauri Cliffs Golf Day: Fly from Te Arai Links to Kauri Cliffs for a round of golf, lunch at the 19th Tee Restaurant and return to Te Arai Links. This journey will be filled with incredible views of Northland’s beaches and natural areas.
Bay of Islands Discover: Your flight departing Te Arai tracks up the Eastern coastline and out to Cape Brett to view the iconic Hole in the Rock. Majestic islands, waterfalls and a taste of New Zealand history are just some of the things you will encounter on this diverse tour. Fly over the historic settlement of Russell, the Waitangi Treaty Grounds, and the Stone Store (the oldest stone building in New Zealand). We recommend a lunch stop to enjoy the region before returning to Te Arai.

Forestry Beach:
Concierge is a 5 minute walk from the beautiful and pristine Forestry Beach. Take a beach towel from your accommodation and pop by concierge to get instructions on how to find our wee sand path down to the beach. This beach is a long stretch of white sand, ideal for running, swimming, and surfing.
Mangawhai Cliffs Walkway: Closed between 29 April 2024 – 7 (approx) June 2024
9 kilometre (5.6 miles) 2 – 3 hour walk along the shoreline and return along the clifftops. The timing of this walk needs to coincide with the tides. Please check with concierge about availability for this walk as it is weather and tide dependent.
Waipu Caves:
The caves are approximately an hour-long drive north. You will end up at a small cave entrance where, if you are up for it, you can get to the bottom and walk along the water line until you see the glow worms in the cave ceiling.
Waipu Caves Track:
4 kilometre (2.5 miles) 1-hour return hike that starts from the same car park as the walk to the caves. This hike is not close to the beach but is across farmland and through rejuvenating native bush. Within the entrance to the caves themselves, you will find stalactites, stalagmites, and glow worms. Mangawhai Museum & Board Walk:
Experience the Mangawhai Board Walk (opening dependent on the weather) which takes you out over the estuary and finish walk right outside the Mangawhai Museum. Mangawhai’s stories and characters come to life in our modern, vibrant museum. With the Harbour as a focal point, learn about diggers converging on the sand, gum digging, gold lost at sea, our natural history and more.
Sculptureum in Matakana:
Explore a purpose built journey through nature and art as you walk (30 minutes – 1 hour) through the Scultpureum (wheelchair accessible) in Matakana. This location is a great place to see outdoor scultpures, both man-made and natural. Your journey will end with access to the indoor art gallery and an option for a wine tasting. A great way to spend half the day, finish your experience off with exploring the quaint town of Matakana, with its famous weekend markets, Pottery Barn and artsy main square.
Brooke Lane Vineyard:
Brooke Lane Vineyard (open 11:00am-5:00pm) is a beautiful family-run winery which also dabbles in gin! With a nearby stream, native trees that shelter an ever-changing pond and a view of the established grape vines in the Mangawhai Valley, Brooke Lane is a great place to stop by for a wine or gin tasting after a jaunt around Mangawhai. Nestled below the Brynderwn Hills, it’s a destination worth visiting, especially on the last Saturday of every month when live music brings a crowd to enjoy nibbles and pizza fresh from the outdoor pizza oven! Tanekaha Walks:
Located a 40-minute drive from Te Arai Links, this walk will take you through native bush, along a river. Depending on which path you decide to take, there are beautiful views of the surrounding landscape and the option to visit up to three waterfalls. The upper trails are recommended for those who are fit as the climbs are challenging. This walk can be very slippery after rainfall.
Waipu Cove to Langs Beach:
Located near the beautiful Langs Beach about a 45-minute drive from Te Arai Links, this trail is a great walk with native birds and ocean views. This walk is recommended for individuals who are reasonably fit as the path is along the rocks of the cliff.
Bennetts Chocolate Shop & Cafe:
A 30-minute drive from Te Arai Links, Bennetts Chocolate Shop has been hand-crafting their exquisite chocolates in Mangawhai Village since 1998. Visit to experience their fine chocolates, made from sustainably sourced cocoa, and stop for a drink at the café which is open until 3:00pm daily.
