After roughly two years of remaining shut to the world today PM Ardern announced that fully vaccinated visitors from the USA and other Visa waiver countries will be allowed to enter her country without self-isolation or managed isolation restrictions as of May, 2022.
Visitors will be required to fill-out an online form prior to departure, produce a negative Covid test and show proof of vaccination.
“While we have removed all travel isolation so that tourists will be able to experience the sights and sounds immediately, they will be required to have a pre-departure test. That test can be a supervised lamp rapid antigen or a PCR test.
“Then when they arrive, they have a further two rapid antigen tests on days 0-1 and 5-6, which is the case at the border presently.” - Jacinda Ardern
