Next month two Auckland golf clubs, The Grange and the Royal Auckland Golf Club, will merge and begin the process of building a new course- complete with modern facilities. Joining two recent golf builds in the greater Auckland area (Windross Farm, Wainui) the completion of the new club will presents a great opportunity for golfers. Construction will be done in two phases with holes have completion dates in 2019 and final details done in 2021.
And although there is some sadness in the Auckland golfing community to see older clubs go by the wayside, plans for a new clubhouse, practice facilities, driving range and 27-hole Nicklaus designed course look to be world-class.
